The ISA Volunteer Pin Program

By Gregg Stockey

At the officer's meeting in November, 2006 it was decided to do more to recognize those who volunteer for the ISA. I agreed to have a lapel or hat pin designed that will be awarded to any member who gives a day, or most of one, volunteering for the ISA. The pin will be awarded to those who complete volunteer work beginning in 2007. Members who wear the pin will have earned it. Thank someone if you see him or her wearing the ISA pin.

Although many members give countless hours to the Alliance, volunteers can earn one pin each year. If the program is a successful and meaningful way of thanking volunteers, new pin designs could be developed in the future. As of March 9, 2007, 45 members have earned a pin, and we're only in the first year of the pin program!

Pins are awarded at the Bronzeback Blowout. Recipients not in attendance will receive the pin by mail.
