2006 ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Recipient of Lt. Governor Quinn's "Environmental Heroes of 2006" award
- Posted pollution and poaching reporting signs among various IL watersheds
- Hosted a River Clean-Up Day in the Kankakee River State Park
- Supported the Kishwaukee Ecosystem Partnership
- Supported the Fox River Ecosystem Partnership
- Lent support to the Illinois DNR in sampling Little Kickapoo Creek
- Participated and donated money to Shabbona Lake Rockfest
- Participated in Fox River habitat enhancement plantings
- Shabbona Lake shoreline protection and rearing pond efforts
- Held children's fishing events to promote conservation, including our Annual Kids Derby, and hosted Kids Casting at the Illinois State Fair and Hunting and Fishing Days events
- Participated in tagging and stocking smallmouth bass in the Kaskaskia River
- Donated funds to support the DNR in purchasing poaching abatement tools
- Assisted with mussel survey on Little Vermilion River
